How does Rapid Resolution Therapy work?
RRT works by communicating with the emotional part of the mind — the part that keeps reacting to a past event as if it were still happening. Using guided imagery, therapeutic hypnosis, and metaphor, the therapist helps the mind fully register that the troubling event is over, so it stops triggering fear, anger, guilt, or shame in the present. Because the work targets the emotional response directly, clients typically do not have to relive or re-describe the traumatic experience, and change often happens quickly.
