Renee Neves

Are you feeling disconnected from yourself? Do you feel unsure of how to best discern what you need amidst current feelings of overwhelm and confusion? If so, you do not have to navigate this journey alone. I am here to be a listening ear and collaborative partner as you reconnect with your deepest, most empowered self.

My Experience and Education:

Originally from the Northeast, my initial transition as a first-generation college student moving to the Southeast was difficult. I am grateful to those who helped guide and support me through the ups and downs of those formative moments. This life experience is what fueled my desire to serve in a similar capacity for others in my professional career.

I hold Bachelor of Art degrees in Sociology and Spanish from Furman University. My previous work experience includes mentoring and advising college students through their personal and professional pursuits. I am now currently a second-year graduate student pursuing my Master of Social Work at the University of Georgia, alongside a certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy.

The art of movement has been an integral part of my life thus far. I grew up dancing and performing musical theater, while most recently, I have obtained a 200-hour yoga teacher certification (RYT-200) with the Online Yoga School. As I believe well-being is a holistic process, I look forward to discovering how the expressive arts may play a role in achieving healing and balance for you.

What to Expect from Me:

I am committed to being a patient, non-judgemental and listening ear for wherever you are at each given moment. I strive to cultivate a trusting and safe environment for you to show up as your authentic self. With coaching experience related to the CliftonStrengths assessment, I wholeheartedly believe in a strengths-based approach to cultivating growth. As a social worker, a person-in-environment perspective is important to me. I believe it is worthwhile to consider all the systematic influences that affect your daily functioning.

I am currently seeing clients ages 13+ for individual and couple sessions both in-person and virtually.
