Learning Disability Evaluations in Athens, GA

The Banyan Tree Center offers comprehensive evaluations for learning disabilities in children, adolescents, and adults. Learning disabilities are neurodevelopmental disorders that affect the ability to acquire, process, or express specific academic skills, such as reading (dyslexia), writing (dysgraphia), or mathematics (dyscalculia).

The evaluation process begins with a detailed clinical interview to review developmental, educational, and medical history, as well as current academic concerns. We administer standardized cognitive and academic achievement assessments to identify patterns of strengths and weaknesses. Additional measures may be used to assess attention, memory, language, and executive functioning. Input from parents, teachers, and other relevant sources is incorporated to provide a comprehensive view of functioning across settings.

All assessments are conducted by a Licensed Psychologist with a doctoral degree. Our psychologists complete all of the testing and provide comprehensive reports that are clear, integrated, and practical so that recommendations can be realistically applied in multiple settings while being individualized to your needs.

Our assessments are designed to distinguish learning disabilities from other factors that may impact academic performance, such as attention disorders, emotional concerns, or environmental influences. Following the evaluation, we provide a thorough report outlining the findings, diagnostic impressions, and individualized recommendations for educational planning, classroom accommodations, and intervention strategies.

Our team is committed to delivering evidence-based, confidential, and supportive evaluations to help individuals and families better understand learning differences and access the resources needed for academic success.
