What Are the Next Steps After a Gifted Evaluation?

After a gifted evaluation is completed, you will meet with the psychologist for a comprehensive feedback session to review the assessment findings and discuss the individual’s cognitive profile, strengths, and any areas of concern, as well as recommendations for next steps for the client’s care. During this session, the results will be explained in clear, practical terms, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss implications.

You will also be provided with a detailed written report after the feedback session summarizing the assessment results, diagnostic impressions, and individualized recommendations. These recommendations may include options for educational placement, enrichment opportunities, advanced coursework, or specialized programs, as well as strategies for addressing any identified challenges or asynchronous development.

If the evaluation is intended to support a school placement or program application, the report can be shared with educational professionals as needed. Our team is available to consult further with families or schools to help interpret results and advocate for appropriate supports.
