Life can be filled with a lot of difficulty but it doesn’t need to be so overwhelming or confusing! If you feel numb, overwhelmed, or sad for no reason, then you are not alone. Finding relief and peace in these struggles is possible through therapy. As a therapist I believe in being a friend and a guide by providing tools to improve mental health, coping skills, opportunities to process emotions/events, and even space for venting if needed. I am LGBTQIA+ friendly and work primarily with adolescents and young adults who have/had experienced depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, sexual abuse/trauma, grief, religious trauma/questioning faith, and career or life challenges.

My Experience & Education

I have greatly benefited from therapy myself, which led me to pursue a Master of Social Work (MSW) and become a licensed mental health therapist. Over the past few years I have had the opportunity to provide mental health counseling to adults, young adults, and adolescents. Additionally, I’ve worked in adoption and foster care as a caseworker intern. I have been certified in Trust Based Relational Interventions (TBRI). I use TF-CBT, ACT, Executive Function Skills, and Narrative Therapy in my practice. I find experimental approaches to be very helpful. These include music therapy, play therapy, and even hanging with my dog Charlie for a session.

My primary passion is working with ADHD and the impacts it has on an individual's mental health. I feel that there is so much research that still needs to be done surrounding ADHD. My goal is to be an advocate for those who have ADHD to get the support that they need.

What to Expect from Me

I work to provide a creative and non judgmental space where clients can feel comfortable expressing themselves. I believe everyone is an expert in their own experience and possesses so much strength within! When your strengths are utilized, the potential to grow and feel empowered to make positive changes increases substantially. I can provide in person appointments, telehealth appointments or a mixture of both. I also provide animal assisted intervention (AAI) as an option so let me know if you’re a fan of dogs!
