Erica Dell

Are you experiencing stress or anxiety in your everyday life? Are you going through a major life change, difficult season or experiencing struggle in your relationships? Do you at times question if your life has purpose and meaning, or you do you feel as if you are just “surviving” day to day? If you resonate with any feelings associated with questions like these, you are not alone.

My passion is to provide a safe space for adolescents and young adults to explore how their relationships and experiences impact who they are, and how they can grow and live life in balance and with purpose. I believe that healing and growth most effectively takes place in the context of relationship. Thus, my aim is to provide a therapeutic relationship that is collaborative and personal to each client’s needs and goals. In working with individuals I take seriously the consideration of all aspects of their lives including physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. I am committed to the therapeutic process for my clients and seek to work with them in becoming healthy and whole.

My Experience:

I am currently seeking Georgia state licensure under the supervision of Founding Director of The Banyan Tree Center, Staci Pfeiffer. I was formerly licensed in the state of Texas and my experience includes working with individuals who are struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, family of origin issues, grief and loss, conflict resolution, identity and relationship concerns as well as trauma. I have worked with clients in a variety of settings including private practice, psychiatric hospitals and local support groups. I have personally largely benefitted from a therapeutic relationship. My personal story of healing and recovery has fostered a love for, and unique understanding of my clients.

My Education:

Originally from Athens, I earned my Bachelors degree from the University of Georgia in 2010. My undergraduate studies were in Child and Family Development, which provided a strong basis for further education in counseling and psychotherapy.

Following college I attended Dallas Theological Seminary where I completed my Master’s degree in Biblical Counseling. I believe in the utilization of evidence-based practices along with my personal and professional experiences as I seek to further my education and specializations to meet the needs of each individual client.

What to Expect from Me:

Taking initials steps toward healing and change can be scary and overwhelming. My hope is that you will experience care and compassion as you seek the help necessary in this season for you or your loved one. I am available for individual, couples or family counseling sessions Monday-Friday. Sessions are typically one hour long.
