Group Counseling (ASAM)
Research shows that many individuals reduce the harm to themselves, their families, and their communities by learning more about drugs and alcohol and by developing strategies to manage their drug and alcohol use. We provide group counseling and education for individuals mandated to treatment as well as those seeking care from a more voluntary position. Using a behavior change model our groups are either aimed at DISCOVERY (the process of gaining awareness and moving toward the determination to change) or MAINTENANCE (the process of reinforcing the commitment to action in changing behaviors).
Our groups are DBHDD approved and led by qualified mental health professionals. Meeting times vary. For more information about each of the groups offered at The Banyan Tree, click one of the links below or contact our intake coordinator.
