If you find yourself here - perhaps something in your life is challenging you. Maybe you are experiencing painful emotions, struggling with an important relationship, or maybe you just have a gut feeling that you could be cultivating more authenticity and joy in your life. Congratulations on taking the first step to pursuing something new! I hope the information below will be helpful to you as you move forward in this process.

I often support people in learning more about themselves, navigating challenging relationships or loneliness, enhancing self-esteem or body image, managing perfectionism, coping with feelings of anxiety or depression, managing distressing thoughts, cultivating skills to manage overwhelming feelings, and processing life experiences that are confusing or painful.

I typically work with individuals over the age of 18 and deeply value opportunities to work with the LGBTQ+ community. For each person I meet, I seek to provide a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment.

My Experience

The more I engage in the work of therapy, the more confident I feel that I have selected a career that is immensely meaningful, enjoyable, and rewarding. In other words, I love my work! Thus far in my career I have had opportunities to work in outpatient community agencies, group private practice, and college counseling centers. I have experience providing individual and couples therapy, consultation, supervision, psychoeducational psychological evaluation, crisis intervention, short-term or single-session therapy, and long-term therapy. I also have experience with therapy groups related to interpersonal relationships, neurodevelopmental disorders, and art therapy.

My Education

I received my PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Georgia in the summer of 2022. I was assigned licensure as a psychologist in Georgia in 2023 (#PSY004741). I completed my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling in 2018 and Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology (BS) and Anthropology (BA) in 2014.

What to Expect from Me

You can expect me to be nonjudgmental, patient, and warm. I will seek to get to know you in a genuine way so that I can adapt to your unique needs and preferences. I strive to be collaborative and attentive, and I always hope to create a space where we can cultivate mutual curiosity, trust, and respect.

I will seek to provide gentle accountability as you need structure or encouragement. I will bring in the relevant knowledge and experience that I hold while utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance the effectiveness of our work. I strive to be clear about my recommendations and hopes for our work together while also trusting and prioritizing your innate wisdom about yourself and your needs.

I am currently available to meet for 50- or 90-minute individual counseling sessions in person or virtually. I am also currently available to provide ADHD evaluations to adults 18+.
